ELKS LODGE News:Thanks to the Los Alamos Golf Course, the 2024 Annual Elks Charity Golf Tournament has expanded from 12 holes to 18 holes. Sign up to play in the first tournament on the newly renovated front nine.The tournament is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27 followed by a luncheon and other festivities at the Elks Lodge at 1601 Trinity Drive.Player registration is $125/player or $500/team and includes entry into golf scramble, greens fees, golf cart and Oktoberfest luncheon. Go to LAGolfAssociation.org to register or click the QR code.Proceeds will fund a local childs wish through Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Mexico, with any additional funds going to the Los Alamos Family Council, UNM Childrens Hospital and other non-profit organizations focused on supporting children in Los Alamos County and the surrounding Northern New Mexico communities. She replaces Greg Seeley, who has stepped down from the position of interim chairman, but has agreed to continue to serve in his former capacity of vice chairman.Dr. Hildebrandt is a veteran of the US Coast Guard, and served as a radioman and shore pat stanley usa rol military police . She is a member of the GI Forum. She holds a PhD in US History, and has been a member of teaching faculty for colleges and universities and is an adjunct professor at Rowan College at Burlington County.She brings the experience of over a year and a half of actively running for political office, along with politic stanley butelka al connections she has made across the state. Its been a privilege to serve as Chairman. Now, I look forward to the new leadership.
